The AS2024-P is an unmanaged, low cost, fast ethernet, Power over Ethernet (PoE) rackmount switch. It is designed to support small density workgroups where devices such as IP Phones require powering from the switch over UTP data cable.
Description
The AS2024-P represents an economical, unmanaged rackmount switch with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. Its primary purpose is to cater to small workgroups or networks, particularly where devices like IP Phones require power through the same UTP data cables used for data transfer.
This switch relies on an internal power supply and boasts 24 10/100Mbps PoE ports, fully adhering to the IEEE 802.3at and PoE standards. All ports are equipped with auto-sensing and auto MDI/X features, simplifying connections to existing network infrastructure and PoE Powered Devices (PDs) such as IP Phones, Wireless Access Points, and IP Video Cameras. Each port can deliver up to 10.4W of power, and the switch can handle a total power load of up to 250 watts.
In essence, the AS2024-P is an excellent solution for cost-effectively adding PoE capabilities to support PoE-powered devices on smaller networks.
